My name is LUCY , and as you can see I am a beautiful girl. I am now about 8 years old and I have "Collie Nose" but the lovely people at BCR who look after me are treating it daily with medication that I will have to have for the rest of my life. I am absolutely crazy about my soccer ball and enjoy my walks too but I am not too fond of other dogs so have a spot and a bed all to myself, so I can still take in all the action that goes on around me from the security of my "house". Sadly I really don't like that horrible banging noise called thunder but if I hide in my crate then it's not so bad. If you would like to sponsor me please fill in the sponsor a dog form and put my name on as your sponsor dog, I paw good letters I promise. Thank you. Love Lucy
Hi, I am JAMIE . I am a 3yr tri-colour male. I was abandoned at an animal shelter and later adopted by a family who couldn't manage my "boyish" ways! The nice people at BCR found me a foster home where I now live permanently. I was diagnosed with Canine Discoid Lupus Erythematosis (DLE) better known as Collie nose, only in my case it was so severe it became Collie mouth and Collie eye too! I saw a nice vet who has put me on a daily regime of pills and I'm looking much more handsome now, but I have to take these pills every day for the rest of my life.
Sparky is a 3 year old female who was diagnosed with osteochondrosis, a condition where small flakes of cartilage peel away from the shoulderbone within the joint, causing pain and lameness. She has had a successful (but expensive) operation and is now enjoying her new lease on life.
