Most of our rescue dogs have to be sterilised. If you would like to make a difference to a rescue dog in this particular way, we would love to hear from you. We have a saying “Don’t breed or buy whilst the homeless die” and we do our bit to help prevent unwanted litters by sterilising our rescued BCs before rehoming them.

Border Collie Rescue would like you to open up your hearts and homes to our rescues. Costs incurred by the foster dog will be covered by BCR, including food and veterinary care (receipts will be required. Find out more about fostering, contact Julie Morris on or 011-395-2259 or 082-887-9668

Adopt a Border Collie
There are several Border Collies or Border Collie cross breeds of all ages (including several senior citizens, perfect for those who are not sure that they can handle the frantic lifestyle of a young BC!) anxiously awaiting new homes.

We have a strict adoption process. An adoption form has to be completed and is subject to approval as well as a property check. The more info that you can provide us with; the better we can match your needs with the right dog.

The rescue fee is a minimum of R600 per dog and R650 per puppy. Please note that the completion of our adoption form and/or the checking of your property does not guarantee you a dog from Border Collie Rescue.

Please contact Julie Morris (Phone: (c) 082-887-9668 (h)011 3952259) if you would like to give one of our
rescue dogs a second chance in life.
If you would like to become part of our fundraising committee we would love to hear from you! Maybe you can hold a lecture in aid of BCR, knit some dog jerseys or sew some dog scarves, do a spinning class or hold a golf day in aid of us or help us as a volunteer at one of our fundraising events, working for a few hours on our BCR stand.
